Wendy Myers is passionate about educating on the importance of detox in our ever-increasingly toxic world. She healed her own health issues through detox and wants to help others do the same. Wendy’s research into detox intensified with the death of her father from esophageal cancer. Intuitively, she knew toxins, chemo, radiation and ten medications killed him prematurely. Launching her site, Myersdetox.com, she vowed to educate others to avoid the same fate. Food, detoxification and natural healing modalities must be used to achieve true and lasting health. Wendy is a functional diagnostic nutritionist in Los Angeles, CA. She uses Hair Mineral Analysis, urine and stool metals tests to detox clients with her revolutionary Myers Detox Protocol.
Dr. Christine Schaffner is a board certified Naturopathic physician who graduated from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. Prior to Bastyr, she completed her undergraduate studies in Pre-medicine and Psychology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Dr. Schaffner is passionate about practicing medicine and creating healing spaces. She is the Clinic Director of Sophia Health Institute, which she co-created with her mentor Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt in Woodinville, Washington. With her diverse skill set and strong working relationships with practitioners all over the world, Dr. Schaffner seeks to improve access, outcomes, and speed of recovery for patients struggling with chronic illness wherever they may be.
Dr. Klinghardt studied medicine & psychology in Freiburg, Germany, completing his PhD on the involvement of the autonomic nervous system in autoimmune disorders. Early in his career he became interested in the sequelae of chronic toxicity (especially lead, mercury, environmental pollutants and electromagnetic fields) for the course of illness. Increasingly aware of the limitations of conventional medicine when dealing with chronic conditions, he completed further training in Ericksonian hypnotherapy and began to include body-oriented psychotherapeutic & counseling approaches in his work, along with neural therapy, mesotherapy injection techniques & applied psychoneurobiology. In the US, he spent three years as a full-time emergency physician before becoming Medical Director of the Santa Fe Pain Centre.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Klinghardt has contributed significantly to the understanding of metal toxicity and its connection with chronic infections, illness, and pain. He has been instrumental in advancing various fields within biological medicine, including non-invasive pain management, injection techniques for pain & orthopedic dysfunction, anti-aging medicine, toxicology, pediatrics (neuro-developmental disorders), energy psychology, biological dentistry, and others. In 2012, he helped found the Sophia Health Institute and is actively involved in patient care at his clinic.
